Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents, Winona Ryder's parents, gave her the name of the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz was her father and Cynthia Palmer, his mother are both authors and editors. Ryder is a Jew. Ryder believes that her father came from an ethnically Jewish background. The actress is the younger sister of Uria as well as two half siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. In the year Ryder was just seven years old, her family relocated to Mendocino County California.
