Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his distinctive mixture of soul gospel, R&B and R&B. She has performed on Broadway and in the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by playing piano and singing in the church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals Stalk You a House 12, came out only in Japan. The song has been remixed many times, and has become a staple of her live show. Additionally, she was a part of The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005, she was commissioned to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her about being the choir leader of the stage production. Sunshine was the subject of national media interest during four consecutive shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
